It’s the Little Things: What to Expect From a Thoughtful Lip Blush Appointment

When you are considering lip blush, it is natural to focus on the finished result.

The colour.
The shape.
How natural it will look.
How it will heal.

But a good lip blush appointment is about much more than simply applying pigment.

For us, the little details matter too.

A personalised consultation comes first

Every lip blush treatment starts with a proper conversation.

We talk about the colour you would like, what you normally wear on your lips, how defined you want the result to be and whether your goal is to restore lost colour, improve definition or simply make your lips look fresher.

There is no one-size-fits-all shade.

Your lip colour is selected specifically for you, taking into account your natural lip tone, skin tone and the result you want to achieve.

We plan the shape before we begin

Before any pigment is implanted, we carefully map and pre-draw the lips.

This allows us to check the shape, balance and overall appearance before treatment begins.

The aim is not to create a completely different lip shape.

For most of our clients, the goal is to enhance what is already there, improve definition and restore colour where it has faded over time.

Comfort matters during the appointment

We want you to feel relaxed and informed throughout your treatment.

We explain what is happening, check in with you during the appointment and make sure you know what to expect immediately afterwards.

Lip blush can look brighter and more intense when freshly treated than it will once healed, so we always explain this before you leave.

The finished healed colour is softer and more natural.

And then there are the really little things…

One of those small details came up recently.

After lip blush, a tiny amount of pigment can occasionally settle into the natural little crevices in the teeth until the mouth has been properly rinsed.

It is completely harmless, but it can make for an interesting smile if you happen to bump into someone you know in Tesco on the way home.

So we now keep mini pre-pasted toothbrushes in clinic for our lip blush clients.

It is a very small thing, but it means you can freshen up, check your smile and leave feeling more comfortable.

Aftercare is part of the treatment too

Your lip blush appointment does not simply finish when the treatment ends.

We make sure you understand how to care for your lips afterwards, what is normal during healing and when to contact us if you have any questions.

In the first few days, lips can feel dry and the colour may appear stronger before softening as the skin heals.

We will explain the healing process clearly so you know what to expect.

Why these details matter

Permanent makeup is a treatment that stays with you for a long time.

Choosing a practitioner should not just be about looking at before and after photographs.

Experience, consultation, safety, communication, aftercare and attention to detail all matter.

We want every part of your appointment to feel considered, from the first conversation to the moment you leave the clinic.

Sometimes that means careful colour selection and precise pre-drawing.

And sometimes it means having a tiny toothbrush ready just in case.

It really is the little things.
