How long does the permanent makeup process take to complete? ⏰️

If I said 8 – 12 weeks would you be surprised? 😲

Let me explain…..

So you want the ‘perfect’ healed brows, lips or liner but you want them now! I understand… but for you to get to that perfect finish you have to go through the healing process which takes time!⏱️

Everyone heals differently and depends on many factors like age, skin type, medications etc. Leaving adequate amount of healing time between each appointment is crucial for a good result. Some clients will need extra time between appointments to take into account any factors which can slow down a typical heal. 

Permanent makeup timeline

Week 1 
First Appointment

Over the next few weeks you will go through the healing stages – the bolder initial look, exfoliation, the ghosting stage where the makeup can almost vanish while your skin rejuvenates.. but don’t panic! My aftercare leaflet explains and reassures you that these stages are completely normal and essential to a good finished result 💫

Week 4 – 8
Retouch appointment

This appointment is so important in the process! Luisa will gauge what additional work you need once you’ve healed to ensure a good long term result. She will take into account many factors as to how the permanent makeup has settled, so she can make any modifications to reach the target effect and to ensure your look will last and age well in the skin. You will then go through the same healing process as you did after the first appointment.

Week 8-12
You are finished! 🎉 the healing has ended and you will be enjoying the benefits of your new permanent makeup 💄 🥰

Please also take into account the wait time for your first appointment. This can vary but at the moment it is usually around 6 weeks – if you require a specific day and time then it could be a longer wait before we have availability. 

So the moral to this story is when it’s comes to permanent makeup, organisation is key, so  if you have a special occasion coming up… the wedding , the holiday, the party – then always factor in the time it will take to get the perfect healed result 🤍
